Flying Start @ Duchy Explore Autumnal Sensory Play!

Flying Start @ Duchy’s Pre-School department have been embracing the new season, with autumn-themed sensory play… They have created an autumnal sensory tray which is full of autumn colours and objects, including pine cones, coloured rice, leaves, cinnamon sticks, and cinnamon powder!

The children have been out on lots of walks around the campus this week, and have been looking at how the environment is changing for autumn… They have been finding things like leaves, berries, and apples which have fallen from the trees.

The children have brought them back to nursery to talk all about the treasure that they’ve found, and then have explored it further by drawing observational drawings of the items!
