The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Marjon have been out and about on weekly Forest School trips!
This week, they were focusing on exploring their environment and particularly how the weather changes it, and makes it more interesting…

The children noticed that the soil was wet and dark, and that some tree branches had fallen over too!

They also noticed that the swamp was looking very very deep and the staff discussed how that was because it had been raining so much! The children helped find a long stick and a member of staff stuck it into the swamp so that the children could see how deep it was!

As they explored, one of the children spotted a deer in the distance! They all stayed very quiet so as not to disturb the deer or scare it, and watched in amazement as it walked by… Shhhh!
