Flying Start Annual Staff Training Day!
Thank you to all of our parents for your patience with the annual staff training day on Monday 27th March – as a company, we really value the opportunity to bring all of our staff together & develop new skills as childcare professionals!

It was hotly contested by Marjon and Redruth staff teams, but in the end the Cornwall College team were victorious!!!
Some of our staff did training workshops on Forest School and outdoor learning… this is something we’re really passionate about at Flying Start!
Another great highlight from our annual company Training Day, was ‘The Tinkering Workshop’ where staff were introduced to new award-winning woodwork kits for young children!!
The creators of the product came all the way to our training day to give the workshops, and teach staff how to use these great new kits… Our staff are now all very excited to roll this out with the children across our nurseries!!
Our cooks from every nursery were challenged to make a cream tea for over 100 members of staff… and excelled with a huge delicious spread!!
And at the end of the day, we had our much awaited annual awards…
