Flying Start @ Penryn Toddler Parents Stay, Play, Bake, Dance, Sing and Story Tell!

Flying Start @ Penryn had a ‘Stay and Play’ session this week with their Toddler Parents and Carers!

Lots of parents came in to see their child playing at nursery, join in with and learn their daily routine at nursery, meet their toddler friends and other parents as well as joining in with lots of fun activities with their child.

The parents/carers initially started by signing in with their child finding their photo and sticking it up to know they were here, then moved on to a choice of jiggly tots singing and dancing games, cooking club, sticking and creating natural pictures, outdoor play and then finally snack time!

Children and Parents/Carers whipped up a storm at the cooking table! Baking buns together which of course were then decorated and tasted.

Some parents took the opportunity to write WOW moments of their child’s achievements at home, or fill in home observations explaining their play and learning at home, which their key worker could use to link in to their learning and plan their next steps at nursery.
