Flying Start @ Helston Bake Food From Fiji!

The children at Flying Start @ Helston have been combining cooking club with learning all about different cultures around the world…

And this week, they made Fiji Honey Cakes, which are a traditional Fijian sweet!

The children took in turns to add the ingredients, and to stir them all up, and then the mixture was baked in the oven.

While the cakes were cooking, the children and staff all chatted about what Fiji might be like, and their culture which is different to ours.

Once the cakes had cooled, the children got to try them and take them home – delicious!
