The children at Flying Start @ Duchy have been doing lots of learning and exploring outdoors during their regular trips into the forest for Forest School!
The children have been enjoying fun activities such as hunting for and collecting lots of sticks and twigs to make big shapes and pictures on the floor…

… Going on adventures and crossly safely over bridges…

… and craft activities like making bark rubbings, where they helped each other to hold the paper whilst their friend made the marks! This has really supported their relationship making and sharing.

And as always, the children have been enjoying lots of games of hide & seek in Forest School – it remains a firm favourite!

Even fun games of hide and seek have led to huge improvements with their counting skills – at Forest School this week, one of the pre-schoolers counted independently to 27! WOW!
