Flying Start @ Penryn Visit Penryn Town Library For A Great Giraffe!

Flying Start @ Penryn visited their local town library this week for a morning of stories and crafts!

A big thankyou must be sent to Caroline Atkins for Penryn Library for being so kind and creating a morning of fun for the preschool children! They thoroughly enjoyed finding lots of books they had never read before and then a very speciall Giraffe Story before using the story to create Giraffe Masks!

It was a great opportunity for the preschoolers to further develop their leraning with in the ‘Reading’ aspect in the curriculum the EYFS. The children used the story books to explain the pictures and recreate stories, find out information, and start to follow the words from left to right across the page aware of when to join in and when to turn the page! Fantastic learning from an exciting outing.
All Penryn preschool children will now be recieving a Penryn Library Card to go to the library and activate, this will then mean the children can borrow books for up to three weeks at a time and enjoy new and exciting stories at home.

Flying Start @ Penryn will also be offering a borrow scheme to parents of parenting books regarding healthy eating, toddler behaviour and parental support – if there is a particular topic you would like to borrow a book from then please let Sophia know and she will endeavour to source the relevant material for you.
