Flying Start @ Camborne Anatomy

Pre School have been curious about their bodies and how they work. One child asked, ‘why do we have arms and how do they work?’

We made it our mission to find out, starting with our body parts and how each organ helps our body to work and move. They children drew around themselves then started to draw the body parts in the correct places. We discussed what the purpose of each body part was, which was interesting.

We then extended our learning to think about what we would do if some of our body parts got hurt, this led to us all becoming doctors and having a go and adding bandages and plasters to every sore part of the body we could have.

We concluded that 2 arms were best for giving really great cuddles when we needed them!
