Flying Start @ Camborne Growing Patch

This week the Pre-School worked hard in the bigger garden to create an allocated growing patch.

We had to empty out the fallen leaves and left over sand, where we found so many mini beasts, including worms, centipedes, spiders and even a beetle.

We then had to be very careful using sharp tools to create holes in the bottom to allocate drainage before filling it with so much compost. Lastly we started to create a barrier to prevent any of our smaller friends climbing into the mud.

They children have decided this is where we should grow carrots and peas.
