Flying Start @ Cornwall College All About Me
As the children in Upper Preschool have now moved to their new room, met some new keyworkers and have new friends start, we’ve been getting to know each other and talking about our families. This week the children have been talking about their homes and who they live with! We had a look at different types of houses around the world, talking about the similarities and differences between our own. We then had a go at making our houses out of Lego, carefully selecting different shapes and sized pieces for different purposes.
We followed our learning on in the garden. We went on a hunt for some natural items such as sticks, leaves, and stones. We then used these items, along with the playdough, to make our pets. If we didn’t have one at home we made the animal we would like as a pet.
The children have also practised their scissor skills by cutting out different shapes to make their houses.
