Flying Start @ Cornwall College Are Busy Cooking

Last week Upper Preschool @ Flying Start Cornwall College were learning mathematical concepts and practising using their cutlery through cooking. We made shortbread biscuits and cheese twists, using the rolling pin to flatten out the dough. The children practised their knife skills, spreading the tomato sauce and cutting up the ham into small pieces to put on their pizzas. The children had to do lots of mixing whilst making the garlic bread and banana muffins, measuring out the ingredients and identifying when we’d reached the correct number on the scales.
