Flying Start @ Cornwall College Zoom to the Moon
This term Upper Preschool are going to be learning about Space! This week we have started by learning all about rockets.
First of all we looked at the different parts of the rocket. We practised using our scissors and cut out the different parts and then glued them on in the correct place.
We designed our own astronauts, talking about the rules astronauts must follow whilst in space. Did you know astronauts sleep tied down? This led on to a discussion about gravity and why everything floats around in space. We then discussed our golden rules at nursery, and why they are important.
We’ve also explored galaxy playdough, moon sand, alien slime and made our very own rockets in the garden.
