Flying Start @ Cornwall College Learn How Their Food Goes From
“Farm to Fork”
The Preschool children visited Tesco to learn about their food’s adventures…
The children learnt about fruit and vegetables, fish and meat… meeting some fresh fish on their journey and looking at the different sizes, colours and talking about the fish they had eaten!
Then because the children have a ‘bakery’ role play at nursery they went to Tesco’s BIG bakery! They met the bakers, looked at a huge variety of what they bake and had a go themselves with some dough.
Finally Tesco’s VERY kindly gave the children some new toys to take back to nursery!
Not only had the children learnt so much from the lovely Tesco Staff they were thrilled with their unexpected gifts!
