To support outdoor play in this lovely weather and develop pretend play and using the children’s imaginations an outdoor kitchen is in action!
The children use pots, saucepans, spoons, whisks, jugs, baking sheets, bun trays and anything else they can to mix, stir and create potions, cakes, pies…you name it, it can be created!
The children have access to a water butt full of water as a key ingredient in their cooking, and also use compost, leaves, petals and bark chips to have lots of different textures and make different consistencies.
The garden has also been being developed by clearing the flower bed and refreshing the area with fresh compost, and different herbs and plants.
The garden is really starting to come together! If you want to come and help out or add anything to our lovely nursery garden please just speak to your keyworker!
