The Pre-schoolers at Flying Start @ Helston have been doing some exciting activities to celebrate Halloween and Diwali…

For Halloween, the children helped the staff to carve pumpkins and then decorated their room with Halloween themed decorations! They got stuck in helping to remove all the seeds and insides of the pumpkins, and drawing funny faces on them!

For Diwali, the children made orange lanterns – carefully cutting, folding and sticking their card to make the lanterns! They learned all about the festival, and how it is known as a festival of light.
