The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Helston have been learning all about beach safety for the summer holidays…

They have been talking about the importance of staying safe at the beach, and they’ve been sharing ways that they stay safe with their families in group discussions… They have also been looking at and remembering the different flags that the lifeguards use.

The children have even been practising the signal to ask for emergency help – waving their arms above their heads and shouting “HELP!” loudly!!
