Flying Start @ Helston Pre-School Enjoy Science Club!

At Flying Start @ Helston, the pre-school science club have been making tornados!

 With the help of the staff, the children made up a special mixture in a bottle…  they poured in water to halway full, then added in a table spoon of soap and a table spoon of vinegar, and then a few drops of blue food colouring… then they put the lid on tightly and took it in turns to shake it upside down really fast!

Then they all watched as the mixture became a tornado and was twirling around really fast!!

Outside in the garden, the children have been really enjoying playing games of ‘stop, whats the weather?’ which has not only been lots of fun, but has helped the children identify different weathers!
