Flying Start @ Marjon Celebrate Diwali

Today we have been celebrating the festival of Diwali. We read a story about Rama and Sita and how they were saved in order to stay together. We learnt that lights we put in peoples windows to guide them home. This is why it is called a festival of Light. We then learnt that this was then extended to making Rangoli pictures and displaying in their doorways for good luck. Showcasing good over evil.

Therefore we made our own Rangoli pictures today.
