Flying Start @ Marjon Dismantle a Computer!

Flying Start @ Marjon preschool children get hands on with their broken computer, putting it to good use!

The children assessed the risks using screwdrivers and tools may have, and the hazards of lots of wires and the rest of the computer’s insides may create. Once they had found ways to ensure they were kept safe the children got to work on the computer!

The children took the computer apart in stages. Using tools to carefully detach the computer’s casing and then getting to explore inside the monitor unit and screen.

The children explored wires, buttons, clips and screws inside the computer. Learning that electricity from the plug through the wires they could see made the computer work before, they then tried to investigate which part was broken!
