Flying Start @ Marjon Play With Hedgehogs!!

 

Intent: Following our settings story of the term, ‘That’s not my hedgehog’ we have create hedgehog models

 

Implementation: We used salt dough and sticks to create a prickly hedgehog. An adult modelled how it could be done and then we allowed the children to mimic our actions, designing their own model.

 

Impact: Children have the opportunity to learn that sticks have more than one purpose, along with the exploration of malleable materials.
