Flying Start @ Marjon Team Up With Plymouth Argyle!

Flying Start @ Marjon enjoyed a day out in the forest, as they teamed up with Plymouth Argyle to help with forest school! Plymouth Argyle has an apprenticeship scheme which encourages their students to get involved with their local community, and to give back. This week, the young footballers have been training at Marjons University, and the team at Marjon thought it was the perfect opportunity to invite them to come and join in with Flying Start forest school!

They began their forest expedition by sharing their golden rules with their helpers from Plymouth Argyle, and discussing the health and safety requirements.

Then, it was time to walk into the forest so they put on their wellies and their big elephant ears and listened to the environment around them as they walked…

In the forest, the children made photo frames from sticks, string and pine cones!

     

 

Then they whipped up some mud cocktails, and made clay faces, and finished off in a big circle listening to some stories!

  

The boys from Plymouth Argyle were fantastic helpers, and got stuck straight in with the muddy activities – having nearly as much fun as the children!!
