Flying Start @ Redruth Celebrate Chinese New Year!
The children at Flying Start @ Redruth have been exploring Chinese culture and food, by making spring rolls and amazing dragon masks, in celebration of Chinese New Year!
The children have all had a go at making some delicious spring rolls! The staff mixed up the filling in the kitchen, and then all of the children had a go at spooning it onto the thin pastry, and rolling it up into the special shape!
The staff baked the spring rolls in the oven, and then all enjoyed tucking into their delicious creations!
The children have been learning all about how 2017 is the Year Of The Rooster, and making lots of crafts that are Chinese New Year themed! They have been colouring in these dragon mask templates, and then carefully cutting them out…
And they even did some sensory play with rice…
