The children have experienced lots of different ways to celebrate Chinese New Year this week…

Using rice in their sensory play, feeling it between their fingers both raw and cooked… and feeling it get very sticky!

Then using chop sticks to try to transport it, which took lots of fine motor control and concentration!

Colouring pictures of the Dragon, finding out about the year of the monkey and even identifying Chinese foods in their imaginative role play dinner time!
