The children have been practising for weeks before, getting to understand the rules of the races and when it was their turn to race…
On the day, they made yummy fruit kebabs for a healthy refuel snack to enjoy after their races!
Before the games began, the whole nursery made sure they warmed up with lots of stretches as well as making sure they all had sun cream and hats on for a day outdoors!
Lots of parents and families came to join watch and cheer, and the children were very brave to do their races in front of such a big crowd!
The races included the potato and spoon race, jumping and running…
…and the day ended with a parent and child race – great fun to see so many grown-ups get involved too!
A lovely afternoon for all – well done to all the children for taking part, the staff team for great organising, and thank you to everyone who came to watch!
