At Flying Start @ Redruth, the pre-school children were busy making their own poppy wreath at nursery by cutting out circles of red paper and sticking them on!
They learned all about how we use these special poppies and wreaths to remember the people who fought for our country.
Look at their amazing wreath that they created!
Then they went on a walk to their local supermarket where they gave their wreath to the veterans there, who were doing the poppy appeal.
The veterans were so grateful that they gave all the children their own poppy and Remembrance Day ruler to take home with them!
 
When the poppy appeal is over, the Flying Start @ Redruth wreath will be proudly displayed in the local Royal British Legion!
