Flying Start @ Redruth Pick Apples & Make Apple Pie!
The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Redruth have proudly picked the apples that they have been growing in the nursery garden!
After lots of patient waiting, they are finally ripe enough, so the children went out in the garden and all had a go at picking them off the tree! And they have been enjoying the juicy apples at snacktime!
They also made their very own apple pies… the children helped to make their own pastry, cutting out the pie shapes themselves before scooping on the delicious apple mixture and adding its own lid.
One the staff had taken them away to cook and cool… the children of course got to tuck in for a very special snack, and to enjoy all their hard work – delicious!
From garden to table… great work, Redruth nursery!
