Flying Start @ Redruth Develop Their Herb Garden!
The pre-school department staff & children at Flying Start @ Redruth have been working really hard developing their outdoor growing areas!
The children have been developing lots of skills using different tools by all having a go at weeding a corner area in the garden to turn it into a wild flower garden!
This will hopefully attract lots of mini-beasts and birds for them to look for and learn about!
They have also been busy establishing their herb garden. The nursery was kindly given some donated herbs and the children were keen to place them into their new homes!
There was lots of discussion about how the all look and smell different and the children are very excited to start using some of these flavours in their bread-making and cooking!
An amazing effort in the garden, and what great teamwork too!
