Flying Start @ Redruth visited by a Cornish Pirate!
Flying Start @ Redruth have had a recent visitor from the Cornish Pirates rugby team.
The rugby player came along to teach the children about the sport he loves, the rules to play, the equipment and of course a go at the skills!
The children and staff tried on scrum hats and learnt that players wear rugby boots with studs and some even wear shoulder pads to help keep their shoulders and upper body cushioned from the tackles!
The children also learnt about the local rugby teams … parents Redruth also have a mini rugby section if your young girls or boys want to learn ball skills, team work and have lots of exercise!
