Wonderful New Building !
On Monday 6th July 2015, Flying Start Nurseries were delighted to celebrate the official opening of their new nursery building on site at Marjon College. The new nursery opened its doors to children and families last Monday, to widespread excitement!
The nursery’s opening was attended by Sharon and Steve Cowburn, the owners of Flying Start Nurseries Ltd, and nursery manager VicCochrane.
The new nursery, which was designed by Sharon and Steve Cowburn in collaboration with Marjon University in 2013, is
a beautiful eco-nursery with wood cladding.
The nursery opens on to a covered deck and boasts an extensive landscaped garden.
The creation of this remarkable building has included over 1km of underfoot heating pipes,
50 tons of soil, and half a field of turf!
The result is a purpose-built nursery, which combines a stunning eco-design aesthetic with specifically designed features, to
provide children with an unrivalled learning environment.
The children and parents are thrilled with their new nursery building, and the committed staff team at Flying Start Marjon
are looking forward to continuing to provide high quality childcare in their exciting new setting.
