Flying Start @ Helston Make Treasure Boxes!

The Pre-schooler’s sat down and wrote their very own story about a magical mermaid. Each child used their imagination to each add a couple of lines to the story.

They spoke about what she looked like, where she lived and most importantly the special things she kept in her treasure chest.

The children then had a go at making their own treasure chests using junk modelling and lots of different things to decorate them with such as buttons, sequins, pipe cleaners and tissue paper. After they were all done, we spoke about what we would put into our treasure boxes.

It all felt very magical, just like the Mermaid!
