Flying Start Children Are Outside And Enjoying The Fresh Air!
We are enjoying the drier weather and making ball runs, obstacle courses and taking our learning outside!
We are open, grouping our children into nurseries with higher demand, keeping high hygiene, lots of hand washing and lots of outdoor play!
Flying Start @ Camborne Celebrated St Piran’s Day!
We have celebrated St Pirans Day, the patron saint of Cornwall. The day before the children made some pasties using pastry, meat and veg and did some great crimping.
The next day we cooked the pasties and enjoyed them for a yummy snack.

Flying Start @ Camborne Practice Good Hand Washing!
The preschooler’s have been learning about good hand washing techniques. We talked about what germs are. When and why we should wash our hands and how to wash our hands well enough to remove all of the germs!
Later we practised washing our own hands. We used soap and hot water for 20 seconds or sang our special hand washing song! Then we used plastic gloves that had been blown up and little cloths to practice our hand washing in the Tuff spot.

Flying Start @ Camborne Have Make Fruity Pictures!
The Preschooler’s and toddlers have been enjoying some Hapa Zome, a Chinese art of using natural objects and hammers to release the colour pigments into fabrics.
This time we used a variety of fruits to make our pictures and printed them onto hessian which made a really fantastic effect.
Flying Start @ Camborne Celebrate Chinese New Year!
We have been celebrating Chinese New Year. The toddlers have decorated a Chinese dragon using their hand prints, red paint and glitter.
The Pre school children have been exploring a Chinese New Year themed sensory tray exploring rice and noodles. On Friday thel children helped to prepare a stir fry which we enjoyed with spring rolls for our afternoon snack.
Flying Start Walk Around The World In……How Many Days?
Flying Start Are Going To Walk Around The World!It takes 20 million steps and we want to help our staff become more active so we are taking on the challenge… but the question is… how long will it take our staff teams, and how many times can we go around our world?! Your nursery team will be recording their steps, and children and parents will be encouraged in their own challenge! So how about parking your car a little further away and walking some extra steps to nursery, going out for a walk at the weekend, or even doing a teeth cleaning march! Lets all get fit this February and Walk Around The World!

We have been enjoying some large scale chalking in the bark garden.
We chalked the walls, the logs and the ramp to make a beautiful colourful picture.
Flying Start Nurseries Are Now Closed For The Winter Holidays!
