Flying Start @ Camborne Enjoy Cooking Club!

The toddlers and pre-school at Flying Start @ Camborne  this week have been really enjoying taking part in Cooking Club!

The toddlers made fruit kebabs – they carefully cut up their own fruit, then with support threaded the fruit onto a straw to make their delicious fruit kebabs!

Meanwhile the pre-school children made Winter Tree Shortbread Biscuits! The children helped to measure out the ingredients. Then they took turns to mix all the ingredients to form a dough, and used the rolling pin to roll out the dough.

Finally, the children pressed the tree biscuit cutter into the dough to make their delicious biscuits!

Great work, Camborne!

Flying Start @ Camborne Mark Remembrance Day With Special Activities

The staff and children at Flying Start @ Camborne made their very own poppy wreath to take up the local war memorial in Camborne town centre.

The children worked hard to make their poppy wreath look good, and then a group of them walked up to the town centre with some members of staff, and put it at the memorial. They went into the church and had a look at all of the poppies.

Meanwhile, the toddlers have been decorating special poppy biscuits to take home!

A lovely & moving way to mark Remembrance Day!

Flying Start @ Camborne Do Firework Paintings!

The toddlers and babies at Flying Start @ Camborne have been making fantastic firework pictures, using cardboard tubes with specially cut ends to produce a great firework exploding effect!

They’ve been using brightly coloured paints on black sugar paper, and of course, adding lots of glitter!

They then had their pictures put on the wall as part of their ‘celebrate bonfire night safely’
