Flying Start @ Camborne Share Heuristic Play With Their Families…

The families of the Babies and Toddlers were invited into nursery last week to observe and engage in heuristic play with their children.

The staff set up some open plan opportunities for the families, showing how objects could be grouped together for free exploration and investigation…

Then everyone got really stuck in! Exploring the objects… seeing how they felt, looked, sounded, banged together, shook and even balanced them on their head!

Staff talked to parents and families about how letting the children freely explore it without a specific purpose or reason can help to develop problem solving and creative skills.
