Flying Start @ Cornwall College Enjoy A Great Sports Day Event!
Forget about Wimbledon… with a huge crowd of parents and families, all the children of every age group warming up for their activities, and high competitive spirits – Flying Start @ Cornwall College’s Sports Day was the sporting event of the summer!
With an incredible turn out of over 45 families watching, the children took part in mini assault courses, beanbag and spoon races, space hopper races, running
races, throwing competitions and many more!
In the baby room the babies had lots of sports day fun too, including seeing who could fill their bucket up the quickest, doing some running races and throwing bean bags!
The children then had a healthy snack and lots of water to refresh themselves and cool down whilst the parents enjoyed the summer fete in the hall… With a delicious cake sale, face painting, guess-the-weight-of-a-cake, and an incredible raffle, over £150 was raised for the Cornwall Air Ambulance!
The raffle featured prizes from over 25 local businesses, including: Bombadingas, Newquay Zoo, St. Michael’s Hotel and Spa, Koko Salon, Cornish Oven and many more!
Flying Start would like to say a huge thank you to all the businesses who donated to the raffle, for such a worthy cause.
A huge thank you to all the parents who turned out in force to cheer from the side-lines, and well done to all the children who took part and had lots of fun!! A great day was had by all and over £150 raised for a very worthwhile cause.
