Flying Start @ Cornwall College’s Weekly Forest School!

Flying Start @ Cornwall College’s Toddler Department have been exploring woodland areas to enhance their learning experiences.

The children go weekly on the Cornwall College campus to a lovely woodland forest area, where they look for natural objects, listen for birds, squirrels and other wildlife and engage in activities covering all areas of learning.

Turning rocks, looking under branches, on top of tree stumps and through the leaves the children find woodlice, worms, slugs,snails and lots of interesting natural objects! 

This week the children stuck them onto their sticky face plates… using bark, leaves, soil and greenery to make facial expressions, which is what they have been focusing on at nursery using mirrors and emotion cards.

I wonder what next week will bring?
