Flying Start @ Penryn’s Partnership With Local Greengrocers ‘Stokes’, to be healthy!

Flying Start @ Penryn have been working in partnership with Stokes since the start of this year.

The nursery now buys all of its fruit and vegetables from Stokes, which is a local greengrocers in Falmouth, the nursery is really pleased to be able to get the quality, service and bulk orders required to fill lots of hungry tummies and little mouths but through a local business!

Luke from Stokes visited the nursery this week to launch a healthy eating initiative, bringing along lots and lots of different fruits for the children to explore.

Luke supported the children in identifying the different fruits, talking about where and how they were grown and the shapes, colours and textures they could see and feel!

Then came the fun part where they tasted the different fruits! 

The children are continuing their healthy eating initiative, counting their fruit and vegetables and ensuring they get their 5 a day!
