Flying Start @ Redruth Celebrate National Storytelling Week

We’ve had a spectacular week at Nursery celebrating National story telling Week!

Throughout the week we’ve had special visitors kindly come in to read us stories and have enjoyed exploring a different story each day.  In Day Nursery the children enjoyed a variety of sensory experiences whilst hunting for their very own bear, just like the story ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’.

On Wednesday we all enjoyed sausage & chips for our lunch, just like in the story ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’.

We’ve had so many different roleplay activities, but our favourite has been acting out ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ story & making a cherry pie for our snack! The Pre-School children have even written their own story called ‘Penguins & Pirates’.
