Flying Start @ Redruth Make Gruffalo Crumble

Today we made Gruffalo Crumble for our pudding. Using book as our inspiration we picked fruits to make it look like the big bad mouse’s fiery eyes.
Once we had finished we used our own Gruffalo cave to enjoy tasting the fruits we had put in our crumble and listen to the story.

The recipe was simple and could easily be made at home.

We used
– 1 tin of peaches
– some frozen cherries and blackberries
– flour
– sugar
– butter

We chopped the fruit and placed it in a glass tray.
We mixed the flour, sugar and butter to make a crumble consistency and placed it on top of the fruit.
Hannah popped it in the oven for half an hour.

We would love to know if you try cooking this at home. You could use any yummy fruit as your filling.
