The pre-school department at Flying Start @ Saltash have been focusing recently on ‘people who help us’ as their theme for learning…
As part of this theme, they had a very special visit from the ambulance service!

The children got to go inside the ambulance, and the paramedics even let the sirens off…

It was really loud and the children had to put their hands over their ears!

The paramedics then showed the children all of the items in their special first aid kit bags… the children even got to try on the oxygen masks, and had a go at putting bandages on each other!

The paramedics talked to the children all about their important job going to see people in emergencies when they’re hurt, and getting them safely to the hospital.
