The babies and toddlers at Flying start Camborne have been reading different stories this week, Dear Zoo was a favourite and we encouraged lots of language and sounds through their play. Some of our older toddlers read to our younger toddlers too!
The children at Flying Start Camborne have been exploring their emotions by pulling different expressions in the mirrors and discovering stories about how people may be feeling.
At Flying Start Camborne we have been creating some weird and wonderful emotion faces in our preschool room, we spoke about the different feelings we might have and how to express them best. The children used different materials to create their masterpieces!
Preschool @ Flying Start Camborne have been discovering textures through feelings, they used a texture box to discover and discuss what textures they could feel.
Flying Start @ Camborne enter a competition!
Some of our children entered a competition for our local Tesco store, they coloured in some wonderful healthy eating pictures. And two of our preschool children won a Tesco van each and a lovely story book to take home.
Flying Start @ Camborne paint leaves
The children at Camborne have been developing their fine motor skills to paint different leaves they found in our nursery garden. They then printed them onto paper, and practiced cutting them out themselves before creating wonderful crowns!

Flying Start Nursery Families Benefit from delicious
Food Boxes from Cafe CHAOS!
We were thrilled this week to pick up 16 jam-packed food boxes from Cafe CHAOS, who are based in Truro and running a wonderful project until the end of March 2021 to help feed families across Cornwall.
We delivered these to our Saltash, Camborne, Redruth and Pool settings directly benefitting our children and families, with delicious local produce. A wonderful initiative at a time when so many families have had financial uncertainty.
Cafe CHAOS also run a larder where you can go and choose items you need in Malpas and Trelander several times a week, just look them up on facebook for more information!

This week our preschool children have been making spring potions, exploring colours, scents and making some wonderful smelling creations! What great fun we had!
Flying Start @ Camborne make marks in the garden
The babies have been making marks in the garden using paint linking to their transport theme this half term. They used the CDs to discover reflections in the outside environment using the sunlight.
