Flying Start @ Camborne Celebrate Male Role Models for Fathers Day

Flying Start @ Camborne have been celebrating male role models in all our lives, looking at the differences they make to us.

Pre-School have held discussions on this topic when creating cards and gifts to send home.

Toddlers have created various delicious treats to share at home, yum!

Day Nursery have also focused their time of doing activities that are messy and enjoyable. Similar to some of our role models jobs.

Wishing everyone a lovely Father’s Day!

Flying Start @ Camborne Toddlers get physical

The toddler staff have been implementing their training from our annual day. The children have been busy practising their physical literacy by acting out the actions of the Safari Stomp story. The children had so much fun hopping, lunging, crawling and roaring to the wild safari stomp. Once they had used all of their energy they enjoyed a calm cool down in the jungle whilst the animals went to sleep.

They explored the sounds a range of instruments made before using our metal heuristic resources to create their very own loud instruments.

Flying Start @ Camborne Learn About The Farm

Toddlers at Flying Start Camborne have been super busy learning all about the farm and enjoying books to match the theme.

They have been creating their own farm animals during our Flora’s explorers sessions and exploring several sensory experiences to learn all about how the animals live such as chickens in a coop, pigs like mud and they even had a go at milking their very own cow.

Flying Start @ Camborne Play Football

We were so excited to have Coach James from Kixx Football to join us for a planned football session.

The Pre-School and Toddlers had so much fun pretending to be different animals whilst they practised so many ball skills such as balancing, kicking and throwing, as well as showing off their wonderful listening skills.

We will definitely be carrying out some of the fun games he taught us again soon.

Flying Start @ Camborne- Messy Food Exploration

The babies have been getting messy whilst exploring food. This is to support the babies develop skills and a positive attitude towards food so they are ready for the next stage in their learning when we introduce our daily cooking club sessions.

As you can see they had a wonderful time getting busy whilst exploring several textures and scents.

Flying Start @ Camborne Lantern Parade

Camborne Flying Start were super proud to be partaking in the Lantern Parade this year.

It was a whole team effort to get create our wonderful lantern, with our parents coming in to support too.

We are sad that the parade was been cancelled due to the weather but we will proudly display it at out annual Carol singing concert at the end of the term.

The babies @Flying Start Camborne took an autumnal walk to their local park this week.

We have been exploring various sized leaves and looking at the different colours in our own garden, so we expanded this out and about. Our very own leave hunt saw us exploring other sights around too. What  lovely way to spend our morning!
