Flying Start @ Camborne Celebrate Healthy Eating Week!

Flying Start @ Camborne have been celebrating the British Nutrition Foundations’ ‘Healthy Eating Week’ by making fresh fruit smoothies & some other fun healthy eating activities!

The children chose from lots of fruits including berries and bananas, and then whizzed them up, to make a delicious refreshing smoothie!

They’ve also been doing wake up shake up sessions, and playing football in the garden (honing their world cup skills!)…

Flying Start @ Camborne Pre-Schoolers Practice Road Safety!

The pre-school department at Flying Start @ Camborne have a new theme of ‘Safety and Independence’, that they are exploring through lots of practical activities…

This week, they have been practising crossing the road safely, using their very own zebra crossing in the pre-school room!

They have also been learning about the different road signs they might see and what they mean, and doing their best to remember them!

Flying Start @ Camborne Toddlers Make Fruit Kebabs!

The toddlers at Flying Start @ Camborne have been enjoying making healthy fruit kebabs, for cooking club!

They started by cutting the banana into pieces, with help from the staff. Then the children peeled their oranges and split them up…

Nest, they added their fruits to straws to make their delicious fruit kebabs. And they enjoyed them as a refreshing & healthy snacktime altogether!

A great way to do some exciting healthy eating!

Flying Start @ Camborne Pre-Schoolers Do Junk Modelling!

The pre-school children at Flying Start @ Camborne have been getting creative, and doing some craft with recycled items!

They’ve being using their imaginations, and all the junk modelling items collected at nurseries, to make amazing creations by sticking, folding, stacking and decorating! They’ve used boxes, tubes, bottles, and buttons, and much more…

With their brilliant imaginations, concentration & sticking skills, they’ve created junk model masterpieces!

Flying Start @ Camborne Enjoy The Sunshine Safely!

Flying Start @ Camborne were delighted to finally have some sunshine this week, and they have been making the most of playing & exploring outside in their big garden.

Before going out in the garden, the children made sure they put their suncream on, and rubbed it in really well – with help & supervision from the staff. They chatted about why it’s so important to wear suncream, and to bring a sunhat to nursery too!

In the garden, they have had a great time playing on the bikes and cars, on the seesaw, and in the house…

… balancing and climbing…

… watering the plants and helping sweep away the leaves…

Looks like great outdoor fun was had by all!
