Flying Start @ Duchy Celebrate Diwali!

To celebrate the festival of Diwali, the pre-schoolers did some special arts and crafts activities…

The staff had some photos of beautiful henna designs which are done on peoples’ hands as part of  Diwali! They showed the photos to the children, and using them as inspiration, they also had a go at decorating some hands!

To make designs on the hands, they used the other end of a paintbrush, and dipped it into paint.

The children had lots of fun creating their unique designs!

Flying Start @ Penryn Enjoy Dance & Movement Session!

The toddlers & pre-school at Flying Start @ Penryn were excited to welcome a special guest: a dance teacher who came and ran a special dance & movement session for them!

They practiced some stretches and movements, before doing some dancing to the music…

They all had a great time, and love to explore different ways of moving and being active!

A big thank you to the special guest for giving up their time to run this session!

Flying Start @ Duchy Get Messy With Large Scale Art!

The babies at Flying Start @ Duchy have enjoyed getting messy with some large scale art painting projects!

The babies sat on a huge sheet of paper, and lots of colourful paints, and drove their cars through the paint to make amazing tracks!

Some of the children also decided to walk across the paint, meaning they had paint on their feet and made their own feet prints – which looked brilliant too!

Great fun!

Flying Start @ Saltash Continue Visits To Local Care Home!

Flying Start @ Saltash made the newspaper for their visit to their local elderly care home! The lovely photos of the children playing with balloons, and helping to put a smile on the resident’s faces, was shared with lots of people in the Cornish Times!

And they’ve been visiting St. Annes Care Home again since… this time Flying Start @ Saltash took play dough and games, for the children to play with the residents!

Lots of the residents got really involved, and there were lots of laughter and smiles with the children around

Flying Start @ Helston Pre-School Paint Self Portraits!

The pre-schoolers at Flying Start @ Helston have been thinking and talking about how they look, and their facial features…

Using mirrors to look at themselves first, they painted pictures of their faces!

They chose paint colours for their hair, skin, and eyes, and created these self portraits!

They all had great fun and were very proud of their artwork too!
