Please remember nurseries are open on 30th/31st and then reopen on the 2nd January, term time starts back on the 6th January 2014.
Flying Start @ Marjon preschool children get hands on with their broken computer, putting it to good use!
The children assessed the risks using screwdrivers and tools may have, and the hazards of lots of wires and the rest of the computer’s insides may create. Once they had found ways to ensure they were kept safe the children got to work on the computer!
The children took the computer apart in stages. Using tools to carefully detach the computer’s casing and then getting to explore inside the monitor unit and screen.
The children explored wires, buttons, clips and screws inside the computer. Learning that electricity from the plug through the wires they could see made the computer work before, they then tried to investigate which part was broken!
Flying Start Nurseries @ Marjon, Penryn and Camborne are supporting Children in Need!
Please speak to your childs key worker to find out the date of your nursery event… and expect to see lots of spots, Pudsy bears, pyjama days and cake sales!
We will be teaching the children that some children are in need of support through family circumstances, disabilities or illness and that by raising some money we can help them.
Please make a small donation as much as is affordable and support your child having a great fun learning experience as well as fundraising event!
