Flying Start @ Camborne’s Math Theme… Continues!

Flying Start @ Camborne’s Math Theme is part of the Pre-schooler’s learning also!

The children have been matching shapes together recognising and naming them and even spotting their similarities and differences…

They have been counting objects too, making sure that they count the right amount for the numeral that they are able to recognise,

The children have taken their maths into their sensory play balancing and measuring, into their roleplay and into their outdoor play… with lots of counting of their movements and making BIG shapes with their bodies!

Flying Start @ Camborne’s Maths Theme

Flying Start @ Camborne have been developing their Maths understanding…

The toddlers count their number line, learning to recognise numbers of significance like their special number (their age!).

The children have also been building structures, recognising the shapes they are using and making patterns with shapes, starting to identify the round circle, straight edges and new names that they are learning.

Well done Toddlers! Please try to spot shapes in the environment with your child to encourage them to always have their maths head on!

Flying Start @ Camborne’s Hair Dressers!

Flying Start @ Camborne Set Up A Hair Dressers!

The children in preschool have set up a hair dressers role play, where they act out going to the hair dressers…

Using head mannequins to brush, comb, put up, clip and play with the hair… and sometimes even with each other!

(Although no hair cuts are undertaken!!)

Lots of the children are very excited to talk about when they went to the hair dressers and this also helps reduce the fears of some children who are a bit nervous of the hair dressers.

Flying Start @ Camborne’s Baby Adventures…

Flying Start @ Camborne’s Babies…

The blog often shows all of the interesting and exciting things the older children at Flying Start @ Camborne have been doing, so we thought it was time we showed what the youngest members get up to also!

The babies love their Tummy Time, the youngest explore materials and reaching for objects just out of their reach to really encourage them to stretch and look forward to develop neck and core strength!
