The police officers brought their police car & motorbike with them to show the children – and the children were allowed to explore them, sit on them, and have their photo taken!

The children learnt about the different signs that the police use on the roads, why they use flashing lights and all of the other equipment that is used to help keep people safe.

It was a very valuable experience for the children, and the children were very excited – a massive thank you to the local police for visiting our Duchy nursery!

Flying Start @ Duchy Visit The College Farm!
Look at these brilliant photos of Flying Start @ Duchy pre-school going for a visit at the college farm!

They travelled in style as a tractor and trailer picked them up from nursery and took them up to the farm! The children loved it, and were taking in all the sights and sounds from the tractor ride!
Once they were at the farm, they visited the milking parlour where they met a huge cow!

The farmer talked to the children about where the milk comes from & what the cow eats, and showed them the milking machine…and then they even watched the cow get milked!

The children also got to stroke a little calf and a lamb!

And the treats weren’t over… the children were given lots of different cathedral city
cheeses to take home – delicious!

And they went back to college on a tractor… wow, what an exciting trip!
A huge thank you to the college for welcoming the children to the farm, and giving them such a special day out!
