Day Nursery @ Pool have been spending lots of time in garden, even in the rain! We have been playing ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ – a fun game linked to our Three Little Pigs theme!
Flying Start @ Marjon have been building and balancing!
This week the babies at Marjon have been building and balancing with the tubes! The older babies were able to build a tower taller than them, with the younger babies learning from their friends and copying their building skills.
Flying Start @ Redruth Paint the Gruffalo
Day nursery have been exploring more about the Gruffalo this week and had fun getting messy with their own Gruffalo child finger painting and reading the story.
Flying Start @ Cornwall College love to balance!
Have a look at our new balance bus. We love encouraging risky play in preschool, and the children love taking part in it. The children take it in turns to balance on the planks and are always happy to help their peers.
Here are a couple of our new math’s tuff trays also in the garden that incorporate measuring and number recognition into the children’s play.
Flying Start @ Camborne go on a Bug Hunt
Toddlers and Preschool at Flying Start Camborne have been outside on a bug hunt in our learning garden! They used the magnifying glasses to discover the bugs secret hiding places around the garden, we then put them in a collection pot to explore with the magnifying glass before returning them to the safety of their homes!
Flying Start @ Cornwall College Make Playdough!
This week day nursery have been making our own playdough to make houses out of sticks and playdough just like in our story The Three Little Pigs.
Flying Start @ Saltash Explore Natural Objects!
The toddlers have been exploring with natural materials. They searched the garden for sticks, leaves etc and then used them to dip into paint and make their very own pictures. They concentrated for a long period of time making sure there masterpieces were perfect!

Flying Start @ Saltash Make Poppies!
The children at Flying Start @ Saltash coloured in, decorated and created their very own poppies to mark Remembrance Day. They also spoke about which people in their lives were very special to them.
