Flying Start @ Redruth get outside whatever the weather!
If the children are properly prepared for the weather they love to be outside exploring and playing.. in whatever the weather has left behind!
Waterproofs and Wellies at the ready please!
(P.S Eyes are peeled for Eye Spy Snow!)
Flying Start @ Redruth have lots of fun for Children In Need!
They bake, decorate, dance, sing, facepaint and dress up all in aid of Children In Need!
Flying Start @ Redruth have made their own Mini-Beasts!
The children went out into the garden and collected lots of natural materials…
There were lots of twigs and sticks blown off the trees which made perfect little legs on their Mini-Beasts…
The children used photographs of mini-beasts to see how they could recreate them, using clay to shape the body they then made legs, wings and shells!
What a lovely use of a natural materials!
Flying Start @ Redruth’s preschool and holiday club children have visited the library…
The older children read stories to the younger children, they sang some songs (quietly!) and learnt some new signs!
Before returning to the nursery for lunch, what a lovely way to spend a morning in half term!
Flying Start @ Redruth have kindly visited the local Residential Home to deliver a Harvest Hamper, dancing, singing and happiness to the residents!
The parent’s, staff and children of the nursery have been collecting recently to create a Hamper full of goodies to deliver to the elderly residents.
They then did some singing and dancing for the residents bringing smiles and laughter!
The children met the pet birds!
And were even invited back for Christmas time, so they will start practicing some Christmas carols soon!
What a lovely way to be a part of the local community!
Flying Start @ Redruth huff and puff their way to BIG bubbles!
With bubble solution at the ready the children dipped their wand in and then tried to blow BIG bubbles!
With lots of huffing and puffing bubbles flew around the garden, those not blowing bubbles chased and caught them trying to POP them!
The children had competitions to see who could blow the biggest and the most bubbles.
Flying Start @ Redruth invited families in for an afternoon of Autumnal fun!
The parents, carers, grandparents and siblings came in to play in the nursery with their nursery children, exploring Autumn together!
The sensory exploration was Pumpkins (of course!), scraping them out, finding the seeds and flesh, feeling textures and doing lots of scooping together!
Then the children (and some parents!) made Muffin Faces for snack time!
Thankyou for all parents and families who came in!
Flying Start @ Redruth’s Preschool Children have been making their own snack!
Developing key fine motor skills, decision making, and independence the children are getting really confident in creating their own snacks in the afternoon.
This week was even better than a sandwich or crackers…PIZZA!
The children made their own pizzas, the grown ups popped them into the oven and with lots of eagerly washed hands and counting down they were ready for a tasty snack time treat!
The children spread their tomato puree and chose their own toppings from a selection of vegetables, meat and cheese!
Can we be invited next time?!
