Flying Start @ Cornwall College & Redruth Team Up For Holiday Club Trip To Heartlands!

The Holiday Clubs at Flying Start @ Cornwall College and Flying Start @ Redruth enjoyed a morning of fun together!

The children from Flying Start @ Redruth came to visit the Flying Start @ Cornwall College Nursery, and together they all visited Heartlands, to climb, run, jump, and enjoy the apparatus in the sunshine!

Afterwards, they all walked back to nursery together to play some games in the huge main halls, before having lunch altogether with their new friends!

It is great to see our Holiday Clubs joining together for some summer fun, and the children attending Holiday Club at Cornwall College and Redruth really enjoyed making some new friends!

Flying Start @ Redruth Celebrate Their Pre-School Graduation!

The staff and children at Redruth enjoyed a day of fun, games and celebration to see off their pre-schoolers who are leaving nursery to join big school!

Each pre-school leaver was presented with a certificate, and they wore a special graduation cap and gown – and had a photo in front of the ‘Class of 2016’ banner!

It was a very special day, and the children will all be greatly missed by the Redruth staff who have nurtured and cared for them… As always, Flying Start wishes the very best to the children who are going on to big school to continue their journey of life-long learning!

Flying Start @ Redruth have been focusing on a theme all about growth with their older children…

They have been exploring seeds and how they grow, and reading the fantastic story of ‘Tildas Seeds’!

They’ve also been enjoying the much-loved story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, which has inspired them to think all about how people and animals grow too!

The day nursery have been making the most of the blue skies, and heading into town for a little adventure and to run some errands…

The staff and the children posted some letters in the post-box, and bought some fruit for snack-time from the fruit and vegetable shop!

The children saw lots of interesting things on their walk, including squawking pigeons, mischievous dogs, some welly boot sculptures, and lots of flowers and leaves!

Back at nursery, the children enjoyed their fresh fruit for snack-time, and chatted about all that they had seen!

Flying Start @ Redruth Enjoy An Adventure To The Heartlands Music Festival!

The pre-schoolers at Flying Start @ Redruth have been on a very exciting trip, to the Heartlands Music Festival!

They packed up their backpacks, and put on their reflective safety bibs, and travelled on a big bus over to Heartlands at Pool…

When they arrived at Heartlands, the children got to play a game which helped them listen for the rhythm in music and words… Then they got to have a go on the African Drums, which was great fun!

All of these games were thirsty work, so the children stopped for a very exciting snack time in the Heartlands Café!

Finally, the children joined in with some singing and dancing with a live band who played Indian style music!

A great day out was had by all at the Heartlands Music Festival exploring music, dance, and rhythm from lots of different cultures!
