They set up some exciting sensory play trays and craft activities for the children and parents to get stuck into!

Flying Start @ Cornwall College Celebrate #TimeToTalk Day!
Flying Start @ Cornwall College took part in #TimeToTalk day by offering parents the chance to stop for 5 minutes at their Time To Change stand, to enjoy a piece of cake or sweet treat, and have a think about their wellbeing!
They created a special Time To Change stand in their foyer with printed resources, tips, and advice on wellbeing!
#TimeToTalk day is run by national mental health charity Time To Change. The aim of the day is to get the whole country talking and having conversations about mental health, and our nurseries have been taking part!
Flying Start Nurseries are very proud supporters of Time To Change – we have signed the pledge as a business to help tackle stigma in the workplace, and to make changes to our environments to promote wellbeing and positive mental health.
Flying Start @ Cornwall College Toddlers Explore ‘Shark In The Dark’ Story!
The toddlers at Flying Start @ Cornwall College have been reading a new story this half term, called ‘Shark In The Dark’!
The staff have been linking their play to the story, by setting up telescopes for the children to play with and explore!

The pre-school department at Flying Start @ Cornwall College have been really enjoying their reading recently…
The book corner is well stocked with lots of old favourites and new stories for the children to explore, and the children have been making amazing progress with their independent reading!
Flying Start @ Cornwall College Is Ofsted OUTSTANDING In All Areas!
The staff at Flying Start @ Cornwall College – led by Manager Sophia Cowburn – are delighted with the recent outcome of their Ofsted Inspection on the 16th of November, recognising the care and learning provided at Flying Start @ Cornwall College as OUTSTANDING!!
The report highlighted that the nursery ‘strive to constantly deliver excellent care and learning experiences to the children’, going into more detail by explaining the ‘extremely warm and nurturing relationships between staff and children’ the ‘staff’s extremely accurate assessments of the children’s abilities’ and the ‘rich and varied experiences’ offered to the children to challenge their learning.
An outstanding judgement was given in all areas of the Early Years Provision and across all age ranges 0-5 years!
Congratulations to all of the staff team for their dedicated, professional & passionate work!
